With the use of my little tool innovation, i had cut the joins for the three legs of the lamp; 2cm high and 1.5cm wide (each join, negative/positive). The two dowel parts were then glued using an excess of gorilla glue and clamped, with cast iron extension clamps (as these were the only ones available that were long enough). The excess glue was then thoroughly wiped away with a warm wet cloth as any remaining glue would show up when the danish oil finish was applied.
